Nord were great years ago, but they've been going downhill for a while now. The extension never hangs and everything is working as it should be. The bypass list works, as do their advertised SOCKS5 servers. I have since moved on to PIA and the difference is night and day. They also publicly removed their SOCKS5 servers from their server list, despite the fact that SOCKS5 was the only reason I used them to begin with. The problems would persist even if I formatted my machines and started from scratch. I complained to Nord, who then suggested the issue lay elsewhere, except the problem I had was identical across three of my computers (2 PCs, one Macbook). The service would drop all of the time and my browser would only work once the extension was disabled. Their bypass list was also extremely buggy and never worked. The only way to turn it off was to disable the extension entirely. Most of the time I would click the icon to change countries and it would get stuck loading forever. In the time that I used it, the browser extension was an absolute mess.
